The Anti-Communist Movement and Defenders of Freedom has gathered in an outdoor demonstration, uniting voices and wills for a free Cuba. Under the daytime sun, a group of people demonstrated with the conviction that only truth and justice can inspire. At the heart of their expression, a large flag combined the symbols of Cuba and the United States, bearing inscribed messages of profound resistance and faith: “GOD. HOMELAND and LIBERTY.” and “One minute standing is worth more than a lifetime on your knees.”
Among those present, many raised their hands forming an “L,” a silent but powerful gesture for “Liberty.” Posters with the urgent demand for “URGENT MEDICAL ASSISTANCE” and the image of a young girl, as well as other photographs, reminded the world of the lives suffering under the regime. In the background, music evoked a vision of unity and connection, with lyrics dreaming of “a bridge from Miami to Havana, for people to come, for people to go,” a longing for reunion and free passage for all Cubans.
