Anti-Communist Movement

On October 17, 2024, the Anticommunist Movement and Defenders of Freedom conducted a mobilization at the White House to unite their voices and demand respect for fundamental rights. The outdoor demonstration gathered a group of people, primarily adults, expressing their support for freedom and rejection of communism.

The demonstrators, many dressed in white, carried Cuban flags and various signs with clear messages. Visible demands included “WE ENTERED THROUGH THE BORDER AND IT IS NOT ILLEGAL”, “WE FLED A DICTATORSHIP”, and “DON’T LEAVE US BEHIND”, as well as the plea “CUBANS WITH I-220A DESERVE ADJUSTMENT TOO” and “THOUSANDS OF CUBANS ARE STILL WAITING WE NEED A SOLUTION NOW”. Other signs proclaimed “CUBA LIBRE”, “C-1940 MI CONSTITUCIÓN LA DE TODOS” (C-1940 MY CONSTITUTION THAT OF ALL), and the demand for “THE RESTORATION OF THE 1940 CONSTITUTION” by the “ANTICOMMUNIST MOVEMENT”, alongside the slogan “LIBERTAD” (Freedom).

Accompanied by instrumental music, participants chanted collective shouts and slogans. The video highlighted strong superimposed text messages such as “Abajo el comunismo” (Down with communism) and “Justicia y libertad” (Justice and freedom), encapsulating the purpose of the mobilization.
