Anti-Communist Movement

The Anticommunist Movement and Defenders of Freedom (MADL) expressed profound gratitude to TV Azteca and the team of the program «Armando La Agenda con Amada», including journalist Armando Guzmán and Amada, for the invitation to a crucial dialogue. The conversation focused on defending freedom against ideologies that have violated fundamental rights, highlighting MADL’s perspective not from theory, but from the direct experience of those who have suffered totalitarianism.

During the interview, Jesús Manuel Esteves, founder of MADL and a Cuban exile who personally experienced communism, shared his testimony. He underscored how the promises of “free food, free education, free health” in Cuba resulted in “free misery,” a great lie that people often fail to investigate when considering socialist and communist theories as current solutions. Esteves emphasized the need for youth to develop critical judgment and be self-taught, stating that “an educated people will be a free people” and “ignorance killed a people.” MADL, formed by individuals who lived under communism in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, aims to educate about the reality of these systems, reminding that “what they give you for free, is costing someone else.”
